However, Los Angeles is also hosting a World Cup quarterfinal at SoFi Stadium on July 10, so the city will be extra busy that weekend, especially around LAX and Inglewood.

✨ Where to Stay ✨

Our wedding home base will be in the Thousand Oaks/Westlake Village area (about 30 minutes from Cielo Farms). This is the most convenient location for shuttles, after-parties, and group events.

Prefer a more city or beach feel? Malibu, Santa Monica, and West Hollywood are great options and still relatively close to the venue. Just be sure to allow for extra drive time with LA’s famously unpredictable traffic. That said, we don’t recommend staying near LAX or Downtown LA, as both areas are likely to be heavily impacted by World Cup traffic.

✨ Getting Here ✨

For flights, the easiest airport is Burbank (BUR). It’s small, calm, and outside the World Cup crowds. If Burbank doesn’t work for your travel plans, LAX will have the most flight options, but expect larger crowds and potentially slower travel times. We recommend starting to track flight prices now and booking early to get the best rates before demand picks up.

July 10 is expected to be the busiest travel day, with lots of fans arriving for the match. If possible, we suggest arriving a day or two earlier to avoid the rush and enjoy a more relaxed start to the weekend.
